Abstract

The present essay "Social use of the Nicaraguan archival heritage: Reflection from History" proposes to open a new perspective on the problems surrounding the archival heritage. These issues have already been addressed many times by the science of Information Management, this time from a historical analysis emphasizing the evolution of the archival heritage, in order to expose the relevance of Nicaraguan documentary heritage as a direct witness of our history and the importance of access to archival heritage and its social use for the development of identity, culture and scientific research.
