Abstract

Doctor Belisario Porras, was born in Las Tablas, head of the province of Los Santos, November 28 de1856 and died on August 28, 1942. During his government, the political scene dominated! national co and he undertook an unprecedented reformist and modernizing work.
In his political life! ca, held various judicial positions during the term of the Sovereign State and since very young he joined the Partido Liberal with Francisco Filos edited the brochure: “Famous causes, judges counterfeiters before the courts and public opinion ”. During his ges! presidential nons were created: roads, schools, wide bridges, and modernized the system of postal, telegraph and telephone services, founded the Public Registry and the Civil Registry, the National Archives initiating the work of national codification and organized the National Exhibition of 1916 to commemorate the discovery of the South Sea and honoring the memory of Balboa.
