Visit of Renowned Documentary Restorer, Doctor Luciano Pardo Pardo of the University of Valencia

Abstract

During the week of October 6-10, the renowned documentary restorer Dr. Luciano Pardo Pardo visited us from the University of Valencia, Spain, who gave an intensive seminar on preventive conservation in libraries and archives to designated library staff. In addition, as part of the academic support that UNAN-León provides to the Nicaraguan community, it offered a keynote address on the same topic to directors of public and private university libraries, the Diocesan Archive, the Rubén Darío Archive Museum and the Municipal Library, among other guests. We also received the donation of a thermo-hygrometer and a lux meter to measure and control the temperature, relative humidity and light intensity in the different SIBUL warehouses; all this thanks to the Cooperation Project of the University of Valencia and UNAN-Léon
