Presentation of the Archivalía Journal
Focus and Scope
Archivalía is a publication edited by the General University Archive of the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, León (UNAN-León). Its topics focus on Document Management and Archive Administration, as well as the auxiliary sciences of archival studies.
Brief Historical Overview
The first publication of Archivalía was released in 2008 as an informational bulletin. Five years later, in 2013, it transitioned into Archivalía Journal, making a national impact as the first journal dedicated to archival topics and featuring contributions from both national and international experts. The journal is disseminated through emails, websites, and social media platforms of colleagues and institutions that collaborate with it.
Since 2015, the journal has participated in training workshops on the editing of printed and digital scientific journals. By the end of 2021, work began on an electronic version of the journal to become part of UNAN-León's literary journal portal, allowing for broader dissemination. Currently, continuous improvements are being made to ensure a high-quality, scientifically rigorous publication for scholars in this field.
