This study focused on a review of applied research using agroclimatic variables with the incorporation of environmental effects in the efficiency analysis. The econometric analysis, the technical-environmental efficiency approach, the eco-efficiency approach, the metaboundary approach, the environmental efficiency approach, the material balance were considered. The conclusions of the study show the need to use efficiency or productivity analysis considering environmental factors and variations in climate change. The importance of these factors affects the production processes to measure efficiency and productivity. Research is recommended in the development of new methodologies in this area of the efficiency analysis, and also that the existing ones are applied so as not to arrive at bad estimates by not considering the reality that surrounds us.
